Stunningly Realistic Pencil Drawings By Self-Taught Artist Ramos
How much art can one squeeze out of pencils and the occasional dip of
water paint? Quite much, as demonstrated by Ruben ‘WestSide’ Ramos.
Sometimes known as ‘xoramos661’ on the internet, he draws amazingly
realistic drawings of skulls, people, comic book characters and gems –
sometimes at the same time ! The colors are very vibrant, a good feature
for anyone drawing comic book-related objects. But the really
impressive stuff are all the crystalized skulls and diamonds. They look
almost “more real than reality”, so to speak, a certain achievement in
use of color, contrast and perspective. Though personally, I just love
the pocket watch with the evil eye. Wish it was an item on Etsy.
